Arsonists are believed to be behind a fire which ripped through a home in Armley.
Detectives are investigating the blaze which destroyed a flat in Heights Drive.

Fire ravaged the first-floor flat, in a two-storey terrace, just after 5.40pm yesterday.

It is believed no-one was at home at the time although the downstairs
flat had to be evacuated and the residents were re-housed for the night.
The home next door had some damage although the residents did not need to be evacuated.

No-one was injured.

Three crews from Stanningley and Leeds battled the blaze and firefighters also used an aerial-ladder platform.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to contact DC Rob Worley at Weetwood CID on 0113 241 3484.
