A charity which helps families coping with drug addictions has received a donation of over £1,000 from Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation to help with its work in West Leeds.
The Barca-Leeds charity was established in 1994 to provide a holistic community service that can offer support, treatment and education to local residents.

The centre focuses in particular on those affected by drug and solvent use.

The donation will be used to buy new electrical equipment and football kit for around 30 young people.

Margaret Lee from the charity said "As a non-profit charity we are absolutely delighted with the donation.

"The new equipment, which includes a laptop with DVD facility, will give us more flexibility to work in the local communities in the West Leeds area."
