Bramley Buffaloes ready to kick up a storm
Bramley Buffaloes return to the Arthur Miller Stadium this weekend to take on play-off chasing Gateshead Storm.
The game is scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 28 with kick off 2.30pm.
It will be six weeks since the Buffaloes last played there having come
through a run of away games at Warrington, Celtic Crusaders and Featherstone, and a home match at Bramley Phoenix Rugby Union club.
Head coach, Paul Cook, said: "It will be good to be back at Arthur Miller Stadium. The lads have performed wonders, winning away at Featherstone and Celtic Crusaders, and we enjoyed enormously the hospitality at Phoenix, when we beat a very strong Dewsbury Celtic side.
"But three of our next four games are at home, and we are looking forward to taking advantage of the excellent Stanningley pitch."
Gateshead joined National League Three at the same time as Bramley, and at first struggled, but have enjoyed an excellent season so far, and are currently in fourth place. The new link up with Northumbria University has paid off for Storm, both on and off the field.
"Storm are a different proposition this year" confirmed Cook "giving us a hard game in the north-east, so we will not underestimate them. Many of their lads came up via the successful Academy side up there and are now showing their potential. But the Buffaloes still have something left in the tank."
Buffaloes chairman, Martyn Cheney, urged fans to continue the excellent support, which has been apparent at away games and at Bramley Phoenix, to turn out at Saturday's return to the Arthur Miller Stadium.
"It should be a great match with Storm now reaping the reward for all the club's hard work, so get along and enjoy the day" he commented.
