Organiser Terence Knapton said Bramley Carnival 2009 will be as good if not better than last year.

He told Bramley Today: "We hope that the carnival will attract many people from the community and that this lovely weather will continue for the carnival day.

"May we remind carnival goers, the event is a non alcoholic, family event and all are welcome to come and have fun. Anyone whose aim it is to create disturbances should be aware that security will be present on the day and will deal with such disturbances in an effective manner."

He added: "Bramley Carnival aims to secure a safe and fun day out so come along and enjoy."

* Anyone wishing to volunteer to help on the Carnival day please contact organisers on (0113) 2555323 or 07534 910370.
