Margaret Lee, a manager at Barca-Leeds Harm Reduction Service, has been nominated for a national Tackling Drugs Changing Lives Award and the chance to win £10,000 to fund project work at her organisation.

The charity delivers a variety of services to Leeds communities, providing health, education and personal development for young and old.

Margaret has been a manager for three years, covering West and North West Leeds and, with her team, works with some of the most vulnerable and hard to reach groups including the homeless, prostitutes and those with mental health problems.

Her team has a high success rate in helping people with drug problems into structured treatment. They also work with the wider community, addressing concerns about drug users.

Margaret's manager, Mark Law, said: "She refuses to allow anybody to fall through the net and has established within her team a standard of care of unparalleled excellence."
