Bramley's Unknown Cause have been awarded money from the Youth Opportunity Fund to cover the cost of the coach for the final of a music competition.
The cash will cover the cost of the coach they've booked to take fans to London for the National Live and Unsigned under 18's final which is at Fairfield Halls in Croydon on Saturday 28 June 2008.

It will also cover the cost of the cost which fans used for the Manchester final on April 6.

The fund is applied for through Leeds City Council and the 'LSCash' panel made up of young people agreed to give them the money.

Bass player Sam Kelly, who applied for this grant on behalf of Unknown Cause, said: "It's been a long wait as we originally applied for the money in April and it's a huge relief to know we can pay for the London coach and get all our friends there safely without it costing them a fortune."

He added: "We don't make much money from gigs, and we've mainly been playing for free this year so it's nice to know we don't have to worry about where the money is to come from."

Sam's mum, Sharon Clarkson, said: "We couldn't take them to London so we made the decision we'd provide a coach but then the worry was how to pay for it!
"As parents we don't all have a lot of money and then someone from Barca-Leeds told us about the Youth Opportunity Fund, it's been a long wait for a decision but we're all over the moon that we've now got the money and know that all the young fans will get there safely and supervised and without it costing them more than the price of their show ticket."
