Omer approached the house and appeared to be talking on his mobile phone when the woman answered the door.
The defendant approached the victim and said "she's here" before handing her the phone.
The woman believed someone was on the other end of the phone but the line was dead.
He took out a knife and said: "Where is the money?"

She told him she did not have any money in the house.
Omer then said: "Don't talk stupid. I will start smashing everything up.
"I am not leaving without the money or I'm going to have to stab you."
Omer pushed the toddler over as he searched the property.
He left with a bag containing £5,000 in cash.
Michael Walsh, mitigating, described the offence as "not the most sophisticated."

He said the woman appeared to film Omer on her own mobile phone as he carried out the burglary but he failed to take the device from her.
Mr Walsh said Omer committed the offence to prove himself to others who put him up to it.
He added: "This is in some ways an inexplicable situation that he finds himself in.

"She must have been frightened for the safety of her child as you pushed past her with a knife."
