Child aged just 14 found carrying knife whilst walking round Leeds city centre

A knife with a blade the length of a biro was found on a teenage boy in Leeds city centre.

The 14-year-old was stopped on Bridge End and searched by officers from West Yorkshire Police's Operation Jemlock, which tackles violence and knife crime.

Officers tweeted a picture of the knife found on the teenager, who has since been charged and scheduled to appear in court.
