Seacroft community 'saddened' by unexplained death of 19-year-old found collapsed at bus stop

Police are investigating the woman's death after she was found at the shelter on South Parkway shortly after 5am. She was taken to hospital by ambulance but died a short time later.
Her death is currently being treated as unexplained and police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Hide AdAn eyewitness, who was on her way to work at a neighbouring cafe, arrived at the scene while the woman was recieving medical treatement at the bus shelter.
The woman, who did not wish to be named, said: "I got here at about 5.20am and she was on the floor, the police were working on her giving her CPR.
"The ambulance hadn't arrived yet.
"It's a shock to come into as everybody's local round here, everybody knows everybody. Everyone has been asking us what's happened."
There was a large police cordon in place around the bus shelter on South Parkway until 11.30am, with crime scene investigation teams at the scne.

Hide AdThe road has since reropened and buses have resumed their normal routes.
A resident, who lives on nearby Kentmere Avenue, was passing the scene with her 19-year-old daughter.
She said: "It's sad, having a daughter the same age. I have another daughter who gets the bus late from work and it does make you worried for her hearing this."
