Thirteen Lincoln Green tower block flats closed by police after spate of crime and anti-social behaviour in Leeds

The tower blocks are all in the Lincoln Green area.
West Yorkshire Police obtained a partial closure order on all communal areas in the buildings.
This means that people cannot enter the tower blocks unless they are a resident, visiting a resident or have permission from Leeds City Council.
This includes the foyer, lifts and stairwells.
People who enter the tower blocks could face court action.

Hide AdA West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "Leeds City Council and West Yorkshire Police worked in partnership to obtain Partial Closure Orders on all communal areas, across thirteen residential tower blocks in the Lincoln Green area of Leeds.
"The action was taken as part of Leeds City Council and West Yorkshire Police’s ongoing commitment to tackle anti-social behaviour and associated criminality within the buildings, whilst providing support to residents.
"The order prevents access to all areas of the buildings including the foyer, lifts and stairwells unless visiting a resident or with the prior permission from Leeds City Council.
"Any person attempting to the enter the blocks without permission could face further action, including through the courts.

"Leeds City Council and West Yorkshire Police encourage residents to ring and report anti-social behaviour or breaches of the Partial Closure Orders.
"West Yorkshire Police, Leeds City Council Anti-Social Behaviour Teams and Leeds City Council Housing will continue to monitor the location, supporting local residents and will act upon reports made."
