Horsforth-based Regent Fisheries is one of only 250 chip shops nationwide which can advertise itself as a holder of the National Federation of Fish Friers (NFFF) Fish & Chip Quality Award. It is given out to chippies that serve up top-notch food in a clean, hygenic and safe environment. Regent was first made an award-holder two decades ago and has retained the status ever since by coming successfully through a series of two-yearly inspections. Shop owner Adrian Atter said: “We are delighted to maintain this prestigious award. To be recognised as one of the top fish and chip shops by the NFFF is indeed an honour and a credit to our hardworking staff to whom I would like to offer my sincere thanks for their continued hard work and efforts to maintain our excellent reputation.
