The Dakota Deluxe hotel has launched its first afternoon tea platter since opening in the city last year so think traditional with a touch of modern flavour.

Hide AdYes it has smoked salmon sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam and, making it very old school Yorkshire, it comes with unlimited amounts of tea from Taylors of Harrogate.
But, you can give your tea a twist and upgrade to British sparkling wine instead while the creative petit fours include citrus pistachio sponge, a rhubarb and custard dome, a three chocolate delice and spiced apple macaroon.
Andrew Creese, general manager, said: “We wanted to create a truly British experience for our customers and afternoon tea doesn’t get more luxurious than when served with a glass of chilled English sparkling wine.
