As families use the holidays to enjoy family trips away, Leeds City Council are planning on taking the opportunity to carry out some essential road works aroud the city.

The programme of works includes gas main replacements on the A65 Leeds Road at Rawdon, A6120 Station Road, Cross Gates and Spen Lane, Weetwood. Major water works will be carried out on A653 Hunslet Road at Crown Point. And work continues on the district heating scheme for Leeds which crosses Marsh Lane under weekend road closures.

In addition, works to bridges and structures continue through this period at Leeds Bridge and A659 Pool Bank, while work on the City Connect Cycle Superhighway scheme through the city centre is ongoing.
