Youngsters aged from three to 14 took part in the camps, which took place last week and this week.

Headteacher Allison Chin said: "We worked with Wildfire, a family support charity. They work with families on issues such as healthcare and drug abuse, helping families improve life outcomes for children."

More than 250 children a day took part in activities such as basketball, circus skills, digital music production, steel pans, street dancing, kick-boxing, football skills, team games, 3-D art sculpture, face painting, music and movement, hair braiding, cooking and crafts.

Sponsorship came from Leeds City Council, Education Leeds, community charity Wade's, and Leeds Healthy Living Network.
