Boss Shaun McRae is also hopeful of having Karl Fitzpatrick back in contention following a shoulder injury that has kept him out of the club's last two fixtures.

Bramley head coach Paul Cook admitted: "Salford are a cracking side. They are obvious favourites and we go to the Willows without the usual pressure.

"As a coach I look at what I will be able to learn and take from the game, whatever the score. I expect the players to use it as part of their learning and they, like the fans, will enjoy the experience."

Jon Nicholls, Thomas Tsang and Jon Richardson could all be available for the Buffaloes.

Cook added: "We should be able to select from a strong squad."
