Leeds Sunday League: On-song Richmond Hill give top dogs mountain to climb in cup

RICHMOND HILL took Leeds Sunday League top dogs Chapeltown Fforde Grene all the way to penalties before the league leaders eventually booked a place in the Barrass Trophy final.

Following a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes, Fforde led 3-1 in extra-time through a Dave Allinson double and Hassan Ahmed strike but Richmond forced a shoot-out with goals from Dave Newsome, James Cowlam and Aaron Dix.

But Fforde then squeezed through with a 4-2 success on penalties to book an Easter Sunday final at Bracken Edge where they will face East End Park WMC who were 4-0 victors against Harehills WMC.
