Featherstone handed stiff Challenge Cup test at rivals Bradford
It will be the sides’ first meeting since the final game of last year’s Championship campaign when Jon Sharp’s Rovers sealed a place in the Qualifiers – at Bulls’ expense – with a 20-0 home win. Batley Bulldogs face a trip to Toulouse Olympique, where they were hammered 44-6 in the opening round of this season’s Championship. Dewsbury Rams will be confident of progressing at home to League One side Newcastle Thunder, but Hunslet – of League One – were handed a tough trip to Championship Halifax.
Meanwhile, Featherstone’s Championship game against Sheffield Eagles at Wakefield on Sunday, March 12, will kick-off at 7,30pm, after the Betfred Super League clash between Wakefield Trinity and Salford Red Devils (3pm).
