Leeds Rhinos rocked as THREE players are suspended after stormy Super League win at Salford Red Devils
Captain and half-back Luke Gale was issued with a two-game penalty notice by the RFL’s match review panel and forwards Bodene Thompson and Alex Mellor both picked up a one-game ban.
Gale, who was sin-binned alongside Salford’s Ryan Lannon, was charged with grade C punching and will miss Thursday’s visit of Leigh Centurions and Rhinos’ game at Warrington Wolves four days later.

Hide AdThompson, who was sent-off after 15 minutes, was charged with grade B punching and will sit out this week’s game, along with Mellor who is accused of grade B “contact with the match official”.
Two other Rhinos players were charged with grade A offences and escaped without a ban.
Hooker Brad Dwyer was accused of dangerous contact and centre Tom Briscoe charged with contact with the match official.
Salford’s Lee Mossop, who was sent-off for flattening Rhinos’ Konrad Hurrell, received a two-match penalty notice for grade C punching and Joe Burgess will miss one match for a grade B similar offence.

Hide AdJack Wells, who was sin-binned for a challenge on Richie Myler, was issued with a two-match penalty notice for a grade C dangerous throw and Lannon escaped a ban for grade A punching.
Wakefield Trinity’s Tirana Arona was charged with grade A dangerous contact in his side’s win over Wigan Warriors last Thursday, but not banned.
