Tigers ace Carney out for two months
The news could have been worse for Carney, who dislocated an elbow in the Tigers’ 25-4 win over Hull KR last Saturday.
It was feared Tigers’ leading try scorer could be out of action for the rest of the year, but tests have revealed he did not suffer a break as first feared.

“It’s tough to take, but is probably the best-case scenario we could have expected and we hope to get a key strike weapon back as soon as possible.”
James Clare is expected to take Carney’s place on the wing away to Widnes Vikings on Sunday after recovering from a knee injury that has kept him out of the last two matches.
