I am looking for the descendants of Edmund Townsend born about 1858 in Horsforth.
He married Mary Ann Kendall, and I believe he died in 1927 in Bramley.
He was the Brother of my great grandfather William Townsend. My grandparent lived in Bramley and my father was born there.
I am hoping that I can connect with the other members of the family still in the area.

dadaniels@yahoo.comMy family history includes many local families including the names of Coates, Bradley, Dean, Booker and Reader. I am always glad to exchange information.
My uncle was James Dearden who died in 1948 (age 33) as a result of war injuries.
His occupation is given as Engineers Inspector and I think he was of Bramley. I am very keen to hear of any information.

My Grandfather was George Haddington Bramley born in Thorpe Underwood Little Ouseburn Yorkshire. He jumped ship in Sydney Australia in 1881. I have found that he had a Brother Edward and a sister Martha.
He married in Inverell New South Wales in December 1899. I would like to find out more about his family in England and also if anyone has any idea of what he got up to between 1881 and 1899.

I'm an Aussie who is presently trying to do some family research via Ancestry.com (like so many others!). Most of my family on my paternal grandmother's branch of the family tree were either born in the Leeds area or moved there from Newark, Notts. at some stage, residing mainly in Armley, Wortley or Bramley, and some were still there when Nan visited there from Australia in 1987.
Nan was born in Leeds, but her family migrated to Sydney in 1911 - she died in 1993 (before any of us got a real interest in finding out about the family history, unfortunately) so that last living link between the two countries has gone, and sadly the only address I have is for a wife of one of her cousins, and she too is now deceased.
I'd really appreciate any advice you could give me!
